UPDATE to my previous review. After only a few weeks of use, several of the plastic caps holding the webbing at the ends of the ribs broke off. This means the fabric is no longer supported by those ribs and is much less functional. This problem is not due to misuse of the product and the caps break easily as they are made of cheap plastic and not metal. Very disappointed with this purchase - waste of $30 and now I have to buy another umbrella. I do not recommend. Big, seems very sturdy and not too heavy. It's a push to open, but you have to close it manually, which can be tricky given the size.
