great for backwoods work

I believe it gets a half amp instead of normal amps but it is still able to weld sheet metal up to 1/4 inch thick fairly well, albeit slowly. The glass for the welding/protection was broken in the one I received although I wouldn't recommend using this mask much better to upgrade to a regular mask. The portability is very convenient for field welding in unique situations/locations. Runs smoothly on 120V AC. So if you can get a 2000w portable generator, you can weld almost anywhere once you get the hang of this little buzz box.
