These are really nice bags. They fitted my 40 year old BMW r65 perfectly! The bike doesn't have a pannier rack and I was concerned that the bags would get caught in the wheel area and cause problems, but that didn't happen! They hold their shape and don't move at high speeds! These bags are designed to be placed on top of the seat, not under the seat. There are two attachment points!. One strap wraps around the rear turn signal derailleur and the other strap wraps around the passenger footpeg! Simple design but very effective. Haven't taken them outside in the rain yet so I gave them three stars in that category but the overlapping flap design seems to keep the water out effectively! You're on a German bike, but it's nice to see little American flags on the back of the bags that say 'Made in America'. I would buy these bags again!
