I have used this cable (I have 4 or 5 of these) for several years both in the studio and on set with my Sony A7rii and Sony A9. My oldest constantly used cable is probably three years old and the only fault I had was when someone on set tripped over the cable and it wasn't attached properly. This is where the cable fails, rather than yanking the connector out of the camera like you might have hoped. It always connects quickly to my MacBook Pro and I've probably taken 100-150,000 shots with no issues. Sony connects much faster than HASSELBLAD or Canon, but let's be clear - connection problems are not related to the cable, they are usually related to handshaking with software and cameras. Together, Capture One, Tether Tools and Sony are extremely reliable. I've been using Tether Tools since they've been around and I'm happy with their work and won't trust other brands.
