I have ordered several gooseneck lights over the last few years and they have all been too heavy to hold in the vertical position they were placed in or the USB end would be loose in the connector were put into. This light is light enough and stiff enough to stay close to where it's bent into position. ALL lamps like this bend a little, it does to a much lesser extent. 3 levels white light And red light bribed me! To change the light intensity and switch to red light, simply press and hold the power button for a few seconds. Repeat pressing until you reach the desired light level and color. When connected, the light remembers the last level and the color used. If you remove it from whatever port you are using, it will revert to white light, the highest light level.
