Review on Keep The Elements Out: PRUGNA 33Ft Self-Adhesive Weather Stripping For Doors And Windows by Herve Latreche

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great Product to Fill Gaps

I had a number of double-sash windows with deteriorated weatherstripping/seals that were leaking lots of air. I used this product to fill gaps about 3 to 4 mm wide at the sides of the window sashes. The old seals were in place, but they'd become brittle and were leaking air. (I left the old seals in place.)I pressed strips of this product into the gaps WITHOUT removing the backing over the adhesive. Since the product easily compresses from about 6 mm down to 3 mm, and because it is very spongy, it stays in place due to the mechanical pressure. Air leaks are gone.I also stuck the product in place, using the adhesive backing, at the top of the top sash and the bottom of the bottom sash. Time will tell whether the adhesive will hold.NOTE that opening or closing the windows will cause the side strips to fall out. So, this is a solution for windows that stay closed during the cold weather months -- which is the majority of the windows I used the product on. (And, if a window has to be opened, it only takes a minute to reinstall the strips at the sides of the sashes.)

  • works ok but not for my door
Cons
  • No sirve como pongo foto si no pega
