Only rated it four stars because I just put it in my air purifier. Background: I have three cats at home and basically wanted to see if this would help remove cat dander, major air pollution and hopefully pet odor. The product itself is a lot narrower than expected but the length makes up for it so it should fit most if not all filter slots. Very simple, put on the previous filter and crop. I've let it run for about an hour and I can already see cat hair and lint clinging to the charcoal pre-filter! (FYI, I put this carbon gasket in front of my real HEPA air filter). At least that tells me it picks up large particles, especially cat hair, and I'll update my review once I find it's capable of removing stubborn odors. , despite cleaning the cat litter during the day (3-4 times). But overall, for the price, quality, and size, it's pretty good for its purposes and tasks. For my air filter, the product gives me around 4-5 filters if I change it every 6-12 months as recommended. :)
