I have been embroidering for over 10 years. The one-star reviewers didn't know, or maybe they didn't know, that they were buying a "soft" teardrop. Soft Tear gives a softer skin feel and I actually used it instead of cropping on some subjects. It holds up much like a cutaway, and while it's a little harder to tear off compared to paper, this tear-off stabilizer is a good choice when folding in half rather than being cut off. This particular stabilizer is exactly what it says soft. I would highly recommend it to people who prefer not to use Cut Away.
