This cat wall hammock is a lot bigger than I thought it would be, but it's good because my cats, of which I have three, usually share sleeping places, so there's enough room for two now. The materials used are strong. The way it attaches to the wall required strategic planning as the base of each post is wider than the studs in the wall and you screw all 4 corners of each post so really only two screws on the post and the others Posts are made of drywall, so we used drywall anchors for these two. The next challenge was trying to mount the second pole to the hairpin without the hammock sagging too low or stretching too much. We ended up starting next to a door so the frame around the door tree would have a solid base and then found a bolt not too far out to make the hammock almost flat. Once we found the right spot for it, it was easier to find a safe place for the two poles that act as steps to the hammock. With all of this done, it seems pretty solid. My cats like to run around in the hammock. They have several other wall bars, so they are used to jumping all levels of the wall from the ground floor to the landing above the second floor landing. We also have 2 dogs so I always want the cats to have a safe place to get away from the dogs if needed. I would recommend this product for your cats, but be aware that it takes a little research and planning. ahead of schedule.
