We bought this run for our two small dogs (a corgi/chivine mix) to use when we went camping with a tent. It was a great purchase! Although they were right next to us at the campsite most of the time, this paddock worked great to herd them in and keep them safe while we pitched our tent, prepared our meals and packed. It also gave them a good spot to nap (with extra blankets) and eat their bug-proof food (with a zip-top mesh top). At night, of course, they snuggled up to us in the tent. We would never consider letting them sleep here at night because predators can get close to them (there are a lot of coyotes in New Mexico!). We ordered the large and it gave our dogs (20 and 14 pounds) plenty of room to move. They seemed calm in it and could see everything around them through the mesh panels. The handle is a bit tricky to fold up to fit in the included carrying case, but once you get the hang of it it should fit nicely in your vehicle. As others have pointed out, zippers seem cheap. Open and close them smoothly. The tote bag opened up after we pushed the handle in at the end of our weekend trip. Otherwise, the material seems to be learning. At the campsite we dragged it through mud/rocky ground a few times to put it to shame. Also here at Revain a very good price! I tested these pens at several pet stores and there were many more.
