Looked pretty good out of the box - should have gotten 5 stars. Here's what happened: It lost a star because it's a pressed veneer panel. And not the greatest shine. Edges break off very easily. It lost another star for having a wire hole drilled in the back of the turntable, but that's about it. Do you want to use and improve? Get ready to drill. Want a tuner? Get ready to drill. Would you like a CD player? Well, there are holes! No, not really, you have to drill for that! It lost another star for not being deep enough for standard audio component sizes. Well actually it does, but only if your wires add absolutely no depth to the back end. As if looking at the size of the component, they made a shelf that was exactly that size and not a millimeter more. If your cables stick out more than 1mm at the back, you will not be able to close the doors. I ended up just cutting out a 5x17 window in the back to allow my receiver's butt to hang down the back. And the legs suck. They are held in anchors by two short bolts embedded in a pressed sheet of veneer. Leaning on it will pull out the anchors. If your child hits it, the anchors will be pulled out. If your dog pees on it, pray to god it's a direct downdraft as each side current creates enough side force to cause the anchor bolts to loosen. I'm thinking of taking the legs off and putting them on blocks for this hipster. , urban grunge look. Because it's all about looks anyway.
