I've been buying a food sealer since I've had 2 Foodsaver brand vacuum sealers and they haven't impressed me much. I've ALWAYS had trouble getting good suction out of bags. The air will find its way somehow, and my food will still burn. So I was looking for a cheap sealant on a $100 budget. I've found that of the sealing products listed here at Revain, most of the 4+ rated products cost around $50-$70. With coupons I could get this for $35. I was skeptical but realized I had nothing to lose with great reviews and a return policy. I have owned it since July and I am very happy with this purchase! Suction is what I expected from vacuuming. All of my frozen foods still suck/seal perfectly in my freezer. There are 2 modes: wet and dry. If you're trying to seal the chicken out of the wrapper, you'll need to use the wet setting. But I noticed that he doesn't suck air that hard. As soon as liquid is detected in the direction of the seal chamber, it switches to the seal. I quickly freeze chicken to solve this problem. The lockable lid is a great feature. You don't have to worry about balancing the bag. Once you lock the bag (assuming it's correctly in the vacuum chamber) and press the button, sealing takes just a few seconds. The only problem I had was the vacuum chamber clogging: the machine keeps running but no air is sucked in. Press the stop button, move the bag and start again, this usually fixes the situation. All in all if you are looking for a reasonable price. 4+ Rated Food Packer - Get yours while it lasts. The bags and reels that come with the kit aren't great. They lost suction and the next day there was air in the bag. So I bought premade Avid Armor packs to use with this sealant. They are cool! Inexpensive, good mil thickness, easy to use, suction power still holds. On their gallon bags, however, they're slightly wider than the seal chamber, so you'll have to dump the excess into the chamber and close it, hoping it doesn't block. Suck. I only cut the corners of the pockets to make it easier.
