I'm wearing mountaineering snowshoes with aggressive teeth and 2" Black Diamond crampons. I find them easy to put on and take off, they provide enough traction on shiny ice and firm snow, and that's why they're worth the extra weight in a backpack: when I'm exhausted on the way down, and 2" cats often stumble. I don't trip with it.It's like some protection no cons.If you cross shop I recommend getting a pair with velcro on top and a toe bar.It helps prevent build up from twisting on boot.Me it's fine, carry on.
