I've always used this particular method of resizing, of course with no screw on the part, it was always kind of a gamble as to how stable and efficient I could get a one-way tunnel through this ear while trying to keep it flush with the cone. IT'S MUCH EASIER TO MAKE IT. The downside is that if you have thicker ears it will be a bit difficult to screw the two parts of the tunnel into each other, it took a couple of times and I pinched them a couple of times due to swelling but I managed to get the end right.
