thank god there were two of them. I've never put a screen protector on an iPad before. There were a few dust bubbles the first time. On the second try I managed to scrape off all the bubbles with no problem. So keep in mind that you may need both protectors before you can get it right and flawless. The screen has a matte finish so now it's almost impossible to smudge it, which is great, now it's always clean. It's also so smooth, which makes mopping that much easier and more enjoyable. I can't say there are any downsides other than what matte screens usually do: the screen scatters light and gives you a less clear image. Strange, since you can see the diffraction of red, blue and green if you look closely enough. Again, this is a limitation inherent in matte screens, so it's certainly not a big deal. 5/5 Would buy again.
