Very easy to install this baby gate. Since it's pressurized and doesn't screw directly into the wall, I would only recommend it for doorways or the bottom of stairs, not the top in case it comes loose. Opening and closing is a bit more difficult than the current gate we have at the top of the stairs. The one we have at the top of our stairs has latches that push in when closing, so you can close it with one smooth motion. This one you have to lift somehow when approaching it so it's not so slippery. It's also supposed to automatically close when open less than 90 degrees, but I can't seem to get that to work (see video). No matter how I open it, it stays there. Doesn't close automatically. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and I'm getting nowhere. It seems like it should just do it automatically (not sure if I need to press the button) but couldn't find anything other than what the instructions say so not sure. The retaining screws are in the four corners and will fall out when you store the gate, so keep an eye on it. When you tighten them, the pressure keeps them in the gate, keeping everything secure. The gate felt quite firm as I pushed and pulled. I plan to move the gate to different doors depending on which room my toddler is playing in. Do not drill holes in the walls.
