It's durable and I like that it has a rubber insert on the bottom which gives it a bit of reinforcement and also keeps us from stubbing our toes when going through the gate. I'm very happy with it! This baby gate is easy to install. I plastered the walls and installed pressure gates. I like that the door closes by itself and that it has an angled guard at the base so I don't trip over it with my toes and trip over it so easily. (Sometimes I'm the queen of clumsiness!) This can be good or bad depending on where and what you bought the gate for. Very easy installation with clear and simple instructions. The goals are solid, clean, I don't see any flaws. My only complaint is that the door pivot feels like it needs some WD40 or something. I can see that the gate jumps automatically, but it's a little difficult to open, or rather, it doesn't open smoothly. After figuring out that I have to lift it up and try to get the bottom and top right to get it to close properly, it's pretty easy to open and close now. The gate we received is for a specific passage, from 30 to 32.7 inches. Before buying, make sure you measure and make sure the hole is fairly square (same width top and bottom). Since it's pressurized and doesn't screw directly into the wall, I would only recommend it for doorways or the bottom of stairs, not the top in case it comes loose. Opening and closing is a bit more difficult than the current gate we have at the top of the stairs.
