Review on ๐Ÿถ Mutt Muffs DDR337 Dog Hearing Protection, Large Size, Black by Mary Hovatter

My honest opinion and feedback!

Great idea but needs work on execution. In general, the product seems to work, but the clutches fall off and can be shaken off without much effort. My dog can still hear someone talking softly from about 30ft away so I'm not sure how protected she really is. The design was well thought out, but the velcro straps feel a bit cheap and difficult to work with. I curl my dog's ears and then put the muffs on to give him the best protection result, but overall I'm not 100% satisfied. The price seems high for this quality product. It's better than nothing, but I will modify my dog's muffs to make sure he's protected. My idea is to incorporate the muffs into a leather or canvas bomber helmet like those used in WWI. Not only do the muffs hold up better, the addition of heavier fabric increases protection. Overall I'm happy with the product but will keep looking at other options and hopefully find something better. Anyway, the mutts can use my bomber helmet idea to improve their product. I hope you're listening. The sound of gunshots, airplane engines, and other extremely long-lasting loud noises can cause great damage to the ears of humans and animals. My dog spends a lot of time on an airboat every year. The engine noise isn't that loud, but the propeller, which sometimes breaks the sound barrier at its ends, does a lot of damage. I would recommend this product to anyone who has money to spare.

Pros
  • Rugged design
Cons
  • Not an assault rifle
