I have bought two of these in the past, they are great and my cats still use them. I decided to buy another one, but the company changed the foam used and the smell of smoke couldn't be eliminated. I tried to get the gas out through an open window for two days and it still stunk. One of my cats would not approach at all and the smell would cling to the other cat when using it. Eventually he stopped doing that too. Even when I had just replaced the foam, the smell still lingered in the case. I had to throw everything away.
