Withered or so old that they fell apart immediately.
I have been wearing Ardell eyelashes for over 20 years and this has never happened to me. When I carefully removed them from the packaging, they crumbled into tiny clumps of hair. It's like they're being baked in an oven. If I had wanted to wear them sooner, I would have known in good time that I would be returning them. But it's too late as the return period has already passed. It would never have occurred to me to check if the eyelashes were falling out.
