I'd rather clog my ears with a red hot poker than hear this crap. I'm a musician and beginner music teacher, and I've never heard a sound as horrible as this (even from a class of fourth graders playing plastic tape recorders). I was hoping this would at least be an introduction to woodwinds, but the high notes are way down, THE OPPOSITE OF ANY BIND INSTRUMENT. Thankfully, the battery only lasts a few hours and doesn't have an auto shut-off. Features such that I haven't had to listen to it for a day or two after getting it for my son's 14th birthday after months of begging. And after realizing how incredibly difficult it was to find and play certain notes (we both have perfect pitch) he started using it not for music but for noise to make his stepbrother (or all of us) to get. Highly recommended. You'll save your sanity by NOT purchasing this item or any variation of it.
