Review on Enhanced SEO: RecorderGear TR600 Phone Call Recorder for Analog/IP/Digital Lines, Automatic Telephone Recording Device by Matt Conner

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Overall a good product. Annoying, but not an indication of the defect

I'm glad I bought this recorder. It works as advertised and records around 500 hours on the included SD card. It can use anything up to a 64GB card, so it will last up to 2000 hours. If you're recording that many conversations, you probably need to communicate more. The instructions are primitive (written by someone who speaks English as a second language?). The software it refers to (windows, not mac) seems to work fine. Some options are not documented. For example, one of the options is Send Email. I assumed I would click on it and it would ask me for my email address and send the wave file. Instead, some crazy background noise started. I have no idea what it's trying to do.*** Problem: There are two options - 1) Boot the device without connecting it to a PC; writes correctly to the SD card and I haven't seen any problems with it 2) Connect the device to the PC with the supplied USB cable and the call bar software works fine. BUT you cannot record and use the software control panel at the same time. I called support (208-557-9460) to see if a parameter was wrong. The gentleman answers politely and helpfully. Unfortunately there is no real solution. Therefore, you should not connect your device to PC most of the time. Then when you're ready to view calls on your computer, reconnect it. For $160, the company had to fix this major flaw before releasing the product. They say they are working on it. All in all a good product with one star deducted due to poor documentation and a serious design flaw.
