I just got this product today and so have not used it abroad yet. I bought it for upcoming foreign trips, Europe and beyond. However, I have electrical items with different plug types (European, Irish (/UK), Japanese/US) and tried it out at home. I know obviously the voltage varies from country to country and this is only a partial review really but anyway. It's a nice compact square size. Quite light but seems durable. I feared it would be bigger and awkward to handle but it wasn't. I read a review from someone before I bought it (well a review either for this item or the exact same thing, colour and all, by another supplier but I think it was this one) saying they could not keep it in a wall socket for too long because it's too big and heavy and would fall out before long. I think the object they were recharging was heavy, not this adaptor, and was maybe dragging the plug out of the wall or the socket might have been high up on the wall and taking too much strain, or it might have been accidentally pulled out. I checked this wall thing anyway in sockets at different heights and the only problem I found in one particular lower down socket I used was that it was a bit hard to take it back out! I hope this doesn't happen abroad. It obviously depends on the socket. It came out easily from the others, including high ones. It did stay in a high up socket I tried but there was nothing plugged into it to tug at it. You can only plug one actual plug in to this at a time (but 4 usb cables) as only one of the 4 adaptors can be used at a time. I haven't used this item abroad as I said so hopefully I get the same result when I do.The slides you push up (while pressing a button at another side of the item) to eject the particular plug you want are firm.I noticed after you plug it out, the handy indicator light takes a good few moments to turn off.It says in the small instruction leaflet, as it says in the product description if I remember correctly, what items you can use this with and what they recommend you don't use it with - the only thing you can't use it with being a hairdryer because of higher voltage. Most hotels and hostels will have a hairdryer nowadays (well, maybe just on loan in hostels) but if you're bringing one yourself, be warned. Personally, I'd save the room in my suitcase :- )The usb cable points also seem to work out right as I recharged a couple of items this way and it charged them quite quickly. It's a lovely colour as in the photo. Easy to find in your luggage (you could say it's easy for other people too but they might find it anyway if they want to, whatever colour it is).I expect I'll be happy with this item despite not having used it abroad with different voltage. I hope I'm not proven to have been premature in reviewing it so positively.
