Bought to rest our poor couch (this is NOT a punching bag). Our 9 year old son exercised quite a bit - almost every day - and thank goodness for that. Instead of filling our base with water, we used sand. Works great. We had an issue with an occasional air leak in the base, but after a bladder test we found that WE had accidentally leaked when filling with sand. There were several grains of sand in and around the "fill valve" and the seal was broken. Cleaned the small valve and we had no leak for several days. We can end up buying him thin gloves to wear when he scores. If you touch any of the seams, you can easily get a small "burn" or "skin" from the plastic. I suppose you could have this reaction to any brand of lined punching bag.
