Shoes with good stability. Personally I really like the high back and sides as my ankles feel like they are in a cradle and I never feel the shoe come off. Sometimes when I walk for a very long time, especially when my gate is bad due to arthritis, I get pain on the outside of my sole probably because it blocks the gate when I try to get in. But honestly, your feet are going to end up a little sore no matter what shoes you have, with arthritis and long walks or runs, so it's not a huge detriment. I have an orange highlighter and I get lots of compliments! Very bright and fun.
