Both cables work well if you just want to charge. The 6" cable transfers data at a decent speed but does not transfer video from my phone or laptop. Other USB-C to USB-C 3.1 cables will work with both. A 10" cable only carries power. The power light on the external hard drive lights up, but the computer does not recognize that the hard drive is connected. The Same goes for connecting your phone to a laptop that's only powered by a 10" cable. I was hoping the list would tell the truth, but for the price I wasn't too surprised it wasn't For the price, two USB-C to USB-C cables that both work for charging devices and one that can transfer data isn't a bad deal, but if this company could deliver on their promises, it would be e that better.
