I own a lenovo y70, a very large (17.3 in) but thin laptop. I previously used a 17.3 inch bag from deviantart i got back in 2009 or so, but the bag was very tough on my laptop. it was a bit too small and the zippers hit my computer a lot. i ditched that bag and used a backpack my parents had. this one made me very uncomfortable because all of the weight (a lot when i am travelling) pulls on my laptop. I worried about it bending. Also, to get the laptop into its secure position, i had to pull the top part of the bag around the zippers (another TIGHT fit, also very worried about zippers hitting my laptop).I wanted a non-bulky solution (i am a student and walk around with my laptop) with storage and durability. So i got this! When i first felt it, the feel of the outside was very soft, and upon opening the zipper, it was even softer! the storage spaces provide a lot of room to store your mouse, mouse pad, webcam, even my laptop charger (though it will make your bag bulge out, and i dont know if it will stretch the bag). For a student, though, when bringing your computer to class, you generally don't have a place to charge it, so I think it's fair. the shoulder strap is comfortable and very secure; i'm not worried about it breaking anytime soon.
