They keep our duvet in place well. I absolutely hated when our duvet slipped into the ceiling. It has been fixed. They also come with a second set so you can use multiple cases! The downside to ironing is that the circle tends to show through the fabric. The instructions say to put the ironed side down, but I didn't want to feel it on my face (we put four on top, not in the corners). They show a little, but it's not bad. This would probably be a bigger problem if your coverage was thinner.
