According to one of the other reviews, the batteries had to be modified to work properly.
Batteries work fine but didn't work initially. Luckily I read one of the negative reviews that said the plastic coating around the negative battery terminal interfered with the connection; it stuck out too far. Of course I cut off part of the plastic cover exposing most of the terminal and now everything works fine. This applies to BOTH batteries and BOTH radios.
