Review on πŸ–₯️ 27 Inch Display Acer R271 Bid - 1920X1080P, 60Hz, Tilt Adjustment - UM.HR1AA.001 by Chris Freeman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Connecting to the base was annoying.

Right now I'm giving this 5 stars based on the 27 inch screen which will be so amazing when I have multiple windows open and colored. I have hundreds of NASA photos on my desktop and it seems like I'm getting close to the nebula, the color and clarity are so unusual. However, attaching the base mount to the monitor wasn't easy. After calling Acer and finally getting past the annoying answering machine, the agent explained how to get online (via my cell phone). phone) for orientation. Yes, Acer doesn't include a proper manual in the package, just a quick start guide stating to carefully remove the monitor from the box once the base is attached. Then what do I hold? I think that's the base. Attach the bracket to the base - just spit. But sticking the mount into the bottom of the monitor, oh, not really. When I went to the Acer website following the instructions from the representative, I couldn't find a manual - only a legal agreement. Time for a Google search, w This led me to a YouTube video of a man taking a flat head screwdriver and breaking off a piece of plastic from his R271 monitor to put his hand through the slot. Fine. So before I have a chance to bandage this pup, I have to break it. Definitely makes sense to me. But it worked. I was able to insert the base into the monitor bay and now the monitor no longer wobbles. I love Acer products - they've been around for decades. I have no complaints about my Acer computer and this monitor seems to be of very good quality (so far). What, no instructions? light up. Even pop tarts come with instructions.

Pros
  • It's okay, but this monitor doesn't have a DVI connector. I had to buy an adapter.
Cons
  • Not bad but...
