Review on πŸ’§ WAYNE PC1 12V Battery-Powered Portable Water Transfer Pump with Suction Hose and Attachment by Darion Wooten

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It works so well that I have to find another use for it.

I needed a way to pump water from the river on my property into buckets for delivery to my garden. I was skeptical when I came across this little pump, but Wayne is a reputable company and I decided to give it a try. I am very happy. Set up was easy - fill the inlet and outlet with some vegetable oil, connect the hoses (I used the included filter on the inlet hose), hook it up to a power source (in this case my Crafstman lawn tractor battery). After lowering the suction hose into the water and turning on the pump, water began to flow out of the pressure hose within a few seconds. The pump easily filled four 5 gallon buckets in minutes. The on/off switch is a nice touch, and the power cord is long enough to allow for multiple placement options for the pump. I haven't tried it with a long hose. from each side; Wayne recommends a suction hose no longer than 15 feet, but does not recommend the length of the discharge hose. The maximum lift is 30 feet; I haven't really challenged the pump in that regard either. For larger jobs - emptying pool covers, filling pools - you should note that the unit has a maximum recommended run time which should not be exceeded due to the risk of engine fire. Visit the Wayne website for a full user manual and specifications. I am very happy with this pump and expect to find new uses for it over time.
