Review on πŸ”Š Sabrent AU-EMAC: Hassle-free Plug and Play USB External Stereo Sound Adapter for Windows and Mac [Silver] - No Drivers Required by Kulwinder Hendrickson

Revainrating 1 out of 5

In addition to the lack of microphone volume, the previously replaced plastic Sabrent adapter

I have used 3 adapters and it is completely useless unless you only need headphone audio and no microphone. I have been working from home in a call center since March due to Covid. I was working in my chair and over time my Sabrent USB connector started to bend and fail so I bought a heavy duty aluminum Sabrent adapter as my original was amazing. I tried it and the mic didn't register, so I went back to Kohl's for a swap. The new Revain had the same issue and I filled out a ticket with Sabrent and they sent me a replacement as well. When I'm gaming and mostly screaming into my headphones, I get a level of mic volume when I crank it up. I use the same headphones as with the Sabrent plastic adapter. I even tried 3 headsets and they all had the same problem. I will not buy another Sabrent adapter. This is clearly a company cutting corners when it comes to their latest products. Others on Amazon have confirmed that they are now using 3V instead of the old 5V which offered universal compatibility. Skip this headset if you don't need to just listen through the headset.
