Review on Freeman PFR2190 Lightweight Interchangeable Nail Gun: Enhanced Flexibility and Efficiency at a 21 Degree Angle by James Dominick

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Lightweight yet powerful

I bought this for my first "big" carpentry project, I'm trying to frame and then plaster, just a space in my basement that is needed to make a frame structure to build. hooked it up to a simple pancake compressor, revved up to 90psi and this kid drove full size nails with no problem. I didn't have a top setting for the depth setting as 90psi gives a maximum. Nailing requires removing the softwood guard which is an easy task. If the nailer is not in a safe driving position, it simply deflates and informs you that full driving is not possible. I've only used it in single fire mode and it has all the firepower that I or any other newbie needs to use alone. I thought it would be a great safety feature) and put the gun on full auto. My first framing gun, I have no comparison but it's a lot lighter than the Hitachi I originally rented. It also has a movable exhaust so you can point it away from your face. Overall, I think it's excellent for both amateurs and professionals.

Pros
  • Nailer
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others
