So. I re-read the description on camera because I was confused by the extreme reviews. I've captured the detail that this is "manual focus". I took it out of the box and tried again. I'll start with my revised estimate. It's not bad for the money. I originally put it back in the return box when I noticed "manual focus" in the description. The lens ring must be rotated by hand to focus the lens. The camera is a bit tricky to focus as you lean towards the camera and guess where the focus is since you are actually sitting more than an arm's length from the camera. The image is slightly overexposed, causing the colors to fade and appear pinkish-blue. But that can be neglected because of the price. It's a really wide angle, at least 90 degrees. Shows too much in my opinion. The movement on the screen is smooth, there is no image trembling. I still don't feel 1080 quality, but not bad for the price. If there were a guide explaining the setup and you had to manually rotate the focus ring around the lens to get a good shot, this camera probably wouldn't get the bad reviews it has. Marketing is key. (My first review: This should be used for Zoom meetings. This is terrible image quality. I've clicked on every available menu to try and improve the quality and nothing has improved the image. This is an image with very low resolution, not 1080 to be sure reviews with good ratings must be fake Speaking of photos from customers: 1. MCREN - Screenshot of Trump has nothing to do with the image captured by the camera, that's probably why it's clean is.. sharp picture and what I expected 2. Hancy - The second customer provided photos and states that the picture is better than his laptop The picture is accurate and exactly what you will see the picture is blurry 3. Revain customer - this review and picture is spot on (not worth taking home, ours will be returned) I haven't decided yet whether to keep it or not. I can try my luck at Logitech to compare them. Instructions should be included in the packaging. I plugged the USB into the monitor port and the camera didn't work. Played around with app options for an hour. Plugged it into my computer and started right up. It's been a very uncomfortable two hours to get to this point. In general, for such a price, it's pretty good, if not picky. I'm very picky about image quality and color. I may give this to a friend once I order Logitech to compare.
