Review on Aquarium Ornament Kit - Hydor H2Show for Enhanced Underwater Decor by Christine Fugleberg

I got this and agree it's a cool effect. However, I only kept it in the aquarium for two days and on the second day the paint that was in it came off and my water turned grey. Luckily the fish were in another tank at the time so I was able to drain and refill, but that was a big problem. Inside is smooth plastic, it looks like the paint just won't stick. I was able to use a cheap toothbrush and scrape off most of the paint on the inside, so I put her back in the tank (since she doesn't have any fish yet) and hopefully she doesn't do the same. I would recommend if you buy it, wash it well and clean the inside well before using it. I didn't want to replace it with another volcano deco from the store as this one has some transparent parts that the LED shines through. I will update this review if the issue is resolved or persists. - Update after a year - After more than a year of use, there were no more problems with the decoration. So as long as you give the inside a good clean and not just a quick rinse like I do with most other aquarium decorations, you should be fine. However, only three stars because this was a big problem in the @$$ update after 3-4 years. It needs regular cleaning and you need to play with it every now and then to keep the bubbles looking right (especially after changing the water or adding chemicals), but it's worth the money. I'm renovating my pool this weekend and this is the only one I have left.
