Review on Crayola Twistables Extreme Crayons 8 52 9738 by Michelle Langley

This isn't my best work; I just wanted to try mine.

This is not my best work; I just wanted to try my new twistables. I colored the word "other" with Extreme Colors. Everything else was done with the usual. The lead has a blunt end so I wouldn't recommend it for shots with a lot of detail as there wasn't a lot of it in this image. The screwing in the Extreme set was huge and blunt, so it was great for large spaces. Crayola calls the colors "extreme," but they're not; they're just pastels. One thing I didn't like was that the pencil kept going back into the body at some of the regular pivot points when painting. This meant I had to keep stopping to screw the lead back in so I could color. This didn't happen with all colors, but it was a bit annoying. Another thing I didn't like about the extreme pencils was that the lead couldn't go all the way into the body like regular rotary pencils could. I believe if you continue to use extreme colored pencils you will eventually be able to put the lead all the way back into the case. the color is very even. Haven't tried shading with any of the kits yet. On the side of the image, you'll see I've highlighted one word. Even though the color I used was dark you could still see the word clearly and there was no show through on the back of the page. A woman I saw on YouTube with these pens used them as markers for her Bible study. I think these pencils are great for Bible study and would buy them again for that purpose. However, I won't be using them very often for coloring pictures.

They aren't really that neon. Maybe just one shade higher than a regular twistable crayon.
