This towel has a very nice texture, is attractive and quite durable. I really wanted to love it but I have a few questions. The tassels were very loose when they arrived so I spent some time tightening them up before washing, but many of them still came loose during the wash. They are also all different lengths, which looks a bit messy and unfinished to me. The other issue is that the pestemal side and terry side are separate pieces that have been sewn together around the edges and I don't think they were cut to the same size because the terry side is about two inches larger, so it's not lay down or correct. Because of this and the wobbly length of the brush, I'm wondering if it's coincidence that they sent me a broken or wrong brush. These issues may be specific to me and not a general issue. My main issue with this towel is that it is too big and thick. In general this would probably be a positive thing when it comes to towels but I buy pestemal or turkish towels because they are light and small when folded. We have limited storage space, a small washer dryer, we go to the beach and swim club often, so Turkish towels are a perfect choice for us. I have a few different styles of Turkish towels including a few others with a terry lining so be aware they vary in size and thickness but this is many times thicker than all the others and so dense that there are only a few Times can be folded before it collapses even further. In terms of size, thickness and drying time, it is comparable to large standard American terry towels, not to pestemal towels and not even to other terry pestemals. If I just wanted a good quality beach towel I would be happy with this one, but I was specifically looking for Pestemals because I need something that is thin, light weight, quick drying and travel friendly. The benefits of pestemalian/turkish towels are lost with this and I think it's misleading to call it that. The photo shows that it is clearly different on another pestemal and next to another terry pestemal.
