I'm an Uber/Lyft driver and I drive my 2017 Toyota RAV4 through the car wash almost every day. The front number plate is held on only by the top two screws, and the underside of the number plate hangs over the front bumper, which curves underneath. The car wash brushes warped my plate every time and ruined the decorative clip I was using. I can't just take it off because my passengers will be looking for it when I stop to pick them up. The Dorman mount has been a great solution so far. It is made of solid metal and features a variety of attachment points. It also holds the stock license plate behind a metal lip that protrudes from three sides. I now firmly attached the plate to the Dorman frame at 4 points and then attached it to the bumper using the factory bolts mentioned above. The plate offers sufficient rigidity so that the plate no longer sags in the sink. The only thing I have is that I'd like to move the whole panel up a few inches, but there weren't any corresponding holes on the frame - they're everywhere but where I want them! As many others have asked and answered - NO screws are included - just a bracket! So if you need screws to attach to your vehicle, you will need to order these separately.
