I installed these about 1 month ago as part of a re-do of some landscaping. I was hoping for the same yellow-ish glow that the old lights had, and wasn't too sure about the quality of the LED lights, however after reading several reviews here indicating that the lights were 'warm', I ordered them. I'm very happy with the light quality- it is a warm LED light, a little brighter than I would have chosen, but looks very lovely illuminating the shrubbery. I am not using these to illuminate a walkway but only to create some light and shadow night-time art, and find that the size of the light field is just right. These lights are installed almost under the shrubs, angled upward into the branches and the effect of the light and the shadows cast on the wall behind is very striking. If you placed them further away, you would have a broader spotlight area.They were very easy to install. I also installed new wire, using size 14/2 low voltage cable wire with my existing transformer. The wire fits snugly into the 16/2 wire slot. Just close the connector box with a small Phillips head screwdriver and you get a secure connection. Best of all, they worked on the first try! They have survived some severe summer storms and a "hundred-year" drenching with nary a blink.If there is any drawback to the lights, it is that you can't replace the LED lights, you have to replace the whole spotlight unit. Given how long they are supposed to last, and that they aren't very expensive, this isn't a big concern to me. Also considering how much trouble I had with the previous lights that did allow you to replace the bulbs by removing part of the lamp, perhaps these are better sealed against moisture and dirt. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a small, soft white spotlight for their landscaping.
