My son injured his ankle badly at school. The swelling was very, very strong. Enough that when it broke they had to wait for the swelling to go down to put it on. After the X-ray confirmed nothing was broken, but there could be a small stress fracture in the growth plate, we were told that walking shoes were the best option and were ripped off by the medical supply company that provides these types of emergency supplies. (I charged nearly $500 for myself for the same version in a different size.) I knew I had to get one from Revain. This particular boot came with two long socks. We didn't find these socks to hold up well so we just used his football socks instead. The only complaint I could complain about is that the two inflation "ports" came loose the first day he wore them. We removed the other vents from the boot and only used one at each of the 4 inflation points, leaving us with no way to adjust the pressure in the air pockets while the swelling continued to subside. Four weeks after the injury, this shoe is still going strong.
