I am in the process of making this beautiful wooden ball and I have to say I am enjoying every minute of the process. Wood. It's precut fairly well so cutting out individual pieces is easy and requires minimal sanding. The instructions are pretty clear - not perfect, but clear enough that I don't think I made any mistakes. One tip I can give is to color the pieces before removing them from the strips if you plan on coloring them at all. I started assembling it before thinking of coloring it, so it required more painstaking work. Overall I am very happy with this set. While I look forward to seeing the finished product, the process is certainly a lot of fun and I expect the lamp to be beautiful when finished.
