I was surprised by the build quality of these binoculars. They are very nicely and solidly assembled. The outer rubber coating is quite thick and these binoculars feel sturdy enough that if you drop them or take a slight hit in the field they won't be damaged at all, which is important if you plan on using them. When camping, like me, sooner or later they are more likely to fall in the mud or accidentally bump their foot while riding the van. The lenses came with a multi-coating as advertised, but the bonus for me was that they were green-coated lenses, which is the best color coating for low-light conditions like stargazing. Astronomy is actually one of the main reasons I chose these binoculars, with a 12x50 magnification, or lens diameter, which is the highest of any roof-cant binocular option available. Another nice bonus is what I photographed: the fact that the lens caps are individually attached to the ends of the binoculars, so you don't have to worry about losing them or where you put those caps when you're having a session are done. watch or just take a break. ha ha. a cell phone holder will do and a mini tripod sucks, but come on these two βπ» items aren't the reason why none of us are buying these binoculars right now, are they?! lulz. so yeah, if you're wondering about taking them, by all means start early gang. these binoculars are awesome. Trill.
