To be honest I was hoping to find a cheaper replacement for my recently broken Roomba 980. I seem to understand that you get what you pay for. And I didn't pay much for this Deebot 601. It's easy to set up and charges in just a few hours. The app seems to work pretty well. He is very quiet. Unfortunately, the silence is due to the lack of suction power. There's no way this will work on carpet, even at maximum settings. The "Carpet" parameter breaks the logic of the "S" pattern. And it's so easy to get stuck where it shouldn't be. He often finds no way out under the chairs. It gets stuck under the kitchen cabinet and never seems to come out. It really struggled with slick carpet. It just seems very weak. Anyway, Roomba still seems to set the bar for robot vacuums. Maybe this one costs around $200. This is a good price for the performance on offer. But it's not for me.
