Review on πŸ”Œ CordSafe Extension Safety Resistant Management: Protect Your Cords with Ease by Drew Panah

Stretch is good but lacks weather protection. We warn you that the end holes are not sealed.

This made the adaptation excellent for connecting two unusually shaped lamp sockets. But as others have pointed out (I won't go into detail, just confirming), the same "compensator" system doesn't weather well, especially when stretched at an angle, which is desirable when stretched to the maximum. Another notable issue is that while the end holes have an outer layer of rubber to "grip and seal", they are only sized for "standard extension cords". If one of your wires is a thin gauge wire, such as outdoor gutters, then there is a problem in the hallway with a large gap for water to enter. I solved this with hot glue (I'd use caulk if I had one, but my wife's glue gun was more readily available). Did the job, withstood the water for at least a season. Next year I will find a better solution for outdoor wet rooms and use it for other occasions where you need to "hold two cords together but not in this weather".

Pros
  • Cables, adapters and multiple sockets
Cons
  • Expensive
