Bought 2 pack for my husband's basement office in our new house. He said he didn't care if it was dark, but I know him better. The clips that come with the kit are great and installation was a breeze. Adds lots of light to his man cave and he likes different colors for different moods - he's an IT guy working from home as well as a PC gamer. We'll get some of this for our bar. It's going to be great. The remote control is pretty weak and doesn't have very good range, but I think that's what I should expect for the price.
