Hanger did the job but it's time to fix it properly. This part was different in design from the one on the car (Sunfire 2002) but all information said it was compatible. It fitted well with the hanger on the body side, but on the exhaust side the strap going around the muffler didn't fit amazingly but worked with a little "let's bend it a little bit like this and it's a little different". The mufflers are probably a little different and will probably be a great match for an aftermarket muffler. This one had to hold the original old OEM muffler rubber isolator. After a few tries I used a bit of dish soap to slide it in there (still with a little more effort than it should have). The five-minute change ended up taking about half an hour.
