Glad I went down this route

This product will save you $250 on a wireless connection for your Lewmar WINDLAS winch. I was and am glad that I chose this path. They were supposed to have a winch magnet, but the Lewmar V-700 I bought came with a magnet, so I was ready. It's true that this thing goes without direction. This is completely weird, but here's what I did to make it work: I ran a red wire to the same brass positive screw that takes the positive wire from the switch. A round plug came in handy so I could just slide it over the screw. I left the round plugs in place and then plugged them onto the solenoid's blade pins because it was easy to make sure the device was working properly - it worked and it fitted well so I left it that way for now but in some then at the moment I can connect the wires better. Anyway, I ran a black wire to the center blade (which on the Lewmar is a negative terminal with a short wire to the negative brass stud) and yellow and white wires to the other two blades for up and down movement. I'd tell you which is which, but mine was originally swapped and I had to swap them. My advice: try them one way, and when you hit "up" and the anchor drops, take a minute and swap these two - no rocket science here. I hope this helps, it would help me!
