This device worked well for my son's first grade distance learning earlier this year. Any issues I had with it were issues with the Chrome OS, which I've never used before. My son couldn't complete all activities in some Zoom meetings because the Zoom Chromebook app didn't support some of the features like B. Surveys that the regular laptop app offers. And in the fall, Google made it difficult for children to watch YouTube videos, where his teachers recorded some of his school videos. In order to watch these videos, we had to pull out another device. My son loves the touchscreen and the under $300 price point was spot on for his first device. Today he tripped walking down the stairs and dropped it (closed) onto the hard ceramic tile floor. We opened it up and it's still working as usual, so the main point is durability. Overall, not bad for a first device, but I probably won't have a Chromebook in the future.
