This mount is solidly made and appears to be made of quality material and despite some confusing design features it is good value for money. The gaps in width of the two parts shouldn't be as big as they are; The kit comes with 6 washers almost filling the space, but 2 washers per side (or a nylon/teflon spacer) would have been sufficient and would have made assembly a lot easier. The "folding" part of the assembly has two sets of holes, but the notches in the base only fit one pair, which doesn't match the width of the US license plate screw holes (anyone who needs one of these probably has the tools for new holes drill into their license plate) There's no reason not to make wider slots to work with both sets of holes, or not to make two pairs of slots.
