Review on 🌞 Sengled Automatic Daylight Equivalent Landscape: Effortless Illumination for Outdoor Spaces by Charles Barney

2 photocell sensors!

I've been into smart home technology for a while, but sometimes the simplest solution works best. We love it when the outside light comes on at night, but we don't want to waste energy by forgetting to turn it off in the morning or when it's dark outside if we forget to turn it on. I've tried other dusk-to-dawn lamps, but they don't seem to work well when encased in a frosted glass mount. I was surprised when they arrived and they have 2 sensors on the bulb! One on each side. The other lamps I tried only had one and they had a red cap. I think Sengleds work better because they have 2 sensors on opposite sides and are transparent which improves the ability to perceive light. The bulbs come in plain brown packaging that speaks to the environment. It could also be made from recycled cardboard/paper. I like the simplicity and the eco-friendly approach. I've touched the bulbs all day and they don't get hot when they're off. In the time I've been using them, they haven't stopped turning on or off as expected. I didn't have to reset them like other Zigbee, Z-Wave, or WiFi lightbulbs. I love what's possible with smart home technology, but a bit of old technology still works!

Pros
  • Energy saving and long lasting lightbulb
Cons
  • Damaged
